"We discovered that our “frost-free” hose bib had apparently ruptured from freezing, which only became evident when a hose was hooked up in the backyard. Using moisture conductivity meters and thermal imaging, they created moisture maps to identify the full extent of the damage. They isolated the affected areas with plastic sheeting, removed and disposed of damaged materials, took samples for lab analysis to rule out asbestos, and set up high-volume blowers and refrigerated air dryers to remove moisture. They also addressed potential mold issues, which can be a serious health concern.
The crew returned daily—always calling ahead and always on time—to monitor moisture levels, update their maps, and adjust equipment as needed. Phil provided a written estimate before work began, but in the end the final cost was actually less than the estimate. We would never have known if they had simply charged the original amount, but Phil demonstrated real integrity by billing only for the actual work required.
Although we chose not to file an insurance claim, their documentation was incredibly thorough—CAD layouts, photos, instrument readings, moisture graphs, and detailed records of materials and labor—everything an insurance company could possibly require.
At my request, Phil also recommended companies they trust for the plumbing and sheetrock repairs, and those referrals turned out to be excellent as well.
